Breakers ,i have seen them on ebay now and again,when i weighed one it was 9.5kg ,i think they can be taken down to about 5.5kg and no bother mate  :smiley:

Thats a safe weight to take them to with good results,i will be having mine done as when doing my engine swap  :evil:

So u think the 4kg less weight will have that much of a power difference?  Wat engine conversion u doing??  How much will that cost?

They very rarely come up on eBay and when they do they're stupidly priced. Hotgolf is your man for the job here.
Remember if you're going to whip the gearbox off you may as well replace the clutch plate whilst you're at it for peace of mind so factor that extra cost into the job.

So ive heard mate,just a 1.8t nout special, got the engine for next to nothin so should come in at below average cost. :smiley:

Martin (Hotgolf) built my entire gearbox with my Wavetrac diff and VR6 final drive, he also lightened and balanced my flywheel to suit a turbo car

the guy is fantastic at what he does and very helpful

highly recommend him

would not go as far to say its like adding 30bhp but well worth doing
