Coding Cruise Control in Yorkshire
« on: 25 September 2012, 16:48 »
Hey guys,

Is there anyone in Yorkshire that could code in cruise control onto my TDi?

I plan on buying the stalk soon, and I understand that it's just a matter of fitting it, extending the wires to a plug behind the fuse box and coding the ECU.

Regards,

Ben

There is a chap on eBay selling the stalk for £75 + delivery

I thought they were a lot more expensive through VW

Kit cost me about £80 and came with a booklet with instructions for coding in.

Do these only work on certain engines?
When I enquired about my bora it had to have a DBW throttle and not cable.

Yeah, the TDi is DBW.

The petrol models have a servo/actuator system version of cruise control which works out very expensive to fit.
