Brake woes

Car: 91 16v
ok after waiting for over two weeks for Goodridge hoses to arrive went to put them on only to realise (i think) that they have been made up wrong .. .you folks will have to bear with me as a/ i'm not that hot at the diy thing but i am on a steep learning curve and b/ my s**t hot mechanic friend is Polish and his english isn't too good .. my girlfriend acts as interpreter !!  .. anyhow ... as its a six piece kit i presume four hoses go on the front? if so, the two long hoses i have will only fit directly on the caliper bypassing the metal pipes..  Also, brake pressure when bleeding the front brakes is way lower on front right than left, is this the pump on its way out ? If so how big a job is this to do ?
Finally ..... took the centre consol out to find the biggest mass of wires EVER belonging to i think the installed Cobra alarm, half of the wires going nowhere...crappy installation me thinks...  have a pic but can't upload it onto here for everyone to have a look and pass comment ... once again any advice and help is greatly appreciated .... and to think i was only joking when i told friends i was gonna rebuild my aquisition from bumper to bumper.... and if you have read this far and want a copy of ETKA (in my case a total godsend) mail me and i will send you one .. its the least i can do !

Hi mate

If i remember correctly the 16v has four hoses going to the rear callipers and 2 to the fronts, the replacement brake lines should go between the copper lines and the callipers replacing the bulging rubber hoses that come as standard.
It would make your life a lot easier to get a pressure bleed kit like eezibleed works really well and puts even pressure through your lines also I'd change your fluid whilst your at it but don't buy silicone brake fluid it's lethal.

ok cheers for the advice .. worked it out ... two small hoses for each rear caliper .... long hose have fitted on front calipers bypassing short metal pipe .. dont kno wwhether this is how its supposed to be but it fits !! ... silicon brake fluid ... what do u mean by 'lethal' ?
