decideing the fate of W8 passat
« on: 23 September 2012, 19:07 »
have a manual w8 passat sat outside  after its fallen into my ownership for the 2nd time ( last tim it needed a clutch this time it needs headgaskets )

problem is i can quite decide what to do with it and summon the motivation to do it.   i lie the w8 ness of it because its diffrent but the car itself it a right twerp to work on so thats saping motivaion drasticly. i keep thinking about fitting the engine to a mk2 or corrado or somemthing but got a feeling that would just to be doing it for the sake of it and it would be just another barn ornament
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Repair it and save it, not many of them around so has to be worth saving.

engines not actualy all that big once its removed from the infernal nest of hell that is the engine bay, probaly have to on aftermarket managment as dought anyones done an immob defeat for it, getting a sutable box and mounting it up chould be a bit of a twerp tho.

will give TPS a call in the morning and see how big of a morgage is required for the bits to fix it.  wallet still rembers the anal trauma from when had to put a clutch and flywheel in it
