Gaming PC
« on: 21 September 2012, 10:17 »
Can anyone recommend some gaming PC's priced between £600 to £800. Hoping to get something that will be upgradable over time but is good enough for the likes of battlefield 3 etc. Its for my son's Christmas present so just greeting an early heads up.

would a console not be more appropriate? Depending on which one his mates have he can play online with them? Or do his mates have PC's too? These days its all about online gaming isn't it?

I was under the impression PC gaming was dying a slow death

Not heard of them. Anyway, PC specialist are good - bought a gaming lappy off them and was able to play skyrim at max settings.

PC's have always been the the No. 1 gaming machine of choice, and still are.  Consoles are definitely a lot easier as they "just work".  But a PC offers a far better overall gaming experience when you have the correct machine.

Especially if you love first person shooters, as a keyboard/mouse combo will beat someone on a joypad all day long

As for your machine rheady, I'd say build you own.

+1 for DinoPC, they built my current PC which over the last 2 years I've been upgrading myself with better graphics card and ram.
