R36 Passat....
« on: 20 September 2012, 19:47 »
Anyone know anything about these bad boys? I'm toying with the idea of one of these when the Gti's run it's course and they've come down to under £10k...

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/cars/volkswagen/passat/postcode/ba115bs/radius/1501/keywords/r36/price-from/7000/sort/default/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/price-to/15000

I've heard with a remap alone 360bhp and 320lbft is obtainable, does this sound right?

I'd say its unlikely an N/A car would gain 60bhp from a remap.

Look pretty nice though

A 20% gain in power on an N/A is not particulary easy or common is it?

I would love one of these. I have always had a soft spot for the passats.

To have it in an estate version to, imagine the sleeperness you could get out of it!

Good answer trog

You will see 30bhp increase from a standard engine, exhaust, etc.

Do some breathing mods and you will get a little more from it.

I'm another for the estate lover! Looks fantastic. Bet the tax is a killer though.
