SPS switch - Skoda
« on: 20 September 2012, 18:30 »
A friend of mine just picked up a 12 plate VRS, (2L TDI)...Now the car is still under warantee for another 3 years I think so he is reluctant to get it mapped etc. I suggested the idea of a revo map and SPS switch..

1st question - Do the SPS switches worth with this 'mk' of car?
2nd question - If he switched it back to stock map when it went for servicing etc would they be able to see this and possible cancel his warantee?

Didn't think that can be mapped via the OBD past 2010. The ECU will have to be removed to remap it?

i think the sps things still work but only as an on/off switch. no boost settings etc.

it will have to be an open heart surgery on the ecu to get around the tuner protection
