Retro fitting Park Assist
« on: 20 September 2012, 14:48 »
I have been looking on car systems pl just to see what they are selling now and came across this...http://www.carsystems.pl/vw-golf-mk6-5k1-park-assist-pla-upgrade,id375.html  Has anyone come across this kit before? has anyone fitted this kit?  Does anyone know if this kit is compatible with an 09 gti?  My parkings fine but might save her indoors chewing up any more wheels.

I'm retrofitting PDC, and had / having a look at this too.
Only issue I have is carsystems is not particularly helpful in the technical department, so once you get the kit, you'll probably be on your own.

I know what you mean about car systems, previously bought oem bluetooth and lets say there help wasn't much after I coded and didn't work, all is good now but wish waited another month before buying so had latest control module.

Not sure thats the same thing to be honest.
OP is looking at park assist that parks the car for you automatically like the option you can get on the Golf.

although it seems to vary from country to country, generally park assist is the one where the car parks itself (you brake and accelerate) while park pilot = PDC = OPS. to me park pilot should be the autoparking one with the six front sensors...but anyway

If my missus was chewing wheels on my car regularly I'd take her off the insurance!
