air bag problem + seat question

ok so the airbag light on the dash is on my mate plugged the car into his snap on computer and it says drivers side seat airbag sensor  voltage to high or something like that now my question, is there a fix to this or do i need to replace the sensor. where is the sensor located and can i just get one out of any other mk4

seat question. the upper handle which lets the seat (recaro) up for passengers ect on the drivers side of the drivers seat is broken off can i switch the one from the other side over if so how do you remove them? cheers regards conor.

hi mate most 3 door golfs do this at some point mine included if i reset the airbag light and lift my drivers seat up it comes back on check the wireing under the seats as they get snagged from lifting the seats up you shouldnt need any parts to fix it ,

as for the handles yes you can swap them over and i think they are glued on iirc

ok thaks for that mate but if i fail to sort the airbag light out could you tell me where the sensor is located and weather or not i can take one out of any mk4 or does it got to be out of another gti with reacaro seat cheers.
