Jetex exhaust cat back or magnex cat back??
« on: 15 September 2012, 19:17 »
Hi

I am wanting to change the exhaust for my mk3 gti,

But I can't make my mind up wether to buy a magnex exhaust system or jetex?, or is there any other exhaust that is better than the above?,

I am not bothered about the price, but I do want it to be brand new...
Also does a stainless steel manifold make a difference or should I just stick with the stock exhaust manifold?

I want it to have a twin exit inthe back, also don't want it really loud like chavvy, just a nice burble tone
Any ideas, greatly appreciated,

Don't bother with stainles manifold, waste of money.

Jetex is very high quality stuff, but I've also heard god things about magnex.

I would go Jetex, but get non-res, otherwise it is just as quiet as stock.

Both jetex and magnex are quality products also have a look at scorpion, i have a scorpion cat back system on mine and its good quality and gives a nice deep rumble without sounding silly.

I had a res jatex on vr6 and it was quite untill you booted it so had a stainless straight through made for it.

I also got a magnex backbox and straight through on my gti and a decat.

Has to be said on idle the gti sounds much nicer, buts that's down to the lumpy idle due to the cam.

I prefer the quality of the magnex.

I love addidas trainers my mate loves vans.
It's up to you.

Only get a miltek if you have a vr6 otherwise not worth the extra cash.

You won't get any more bhp they just sound the best on the vr6
