Fault code help? 01247
« on: 09 September 2012, 19:40 »
Looked for this on Ross-tech and it doesnt have it! clueless as to what this is? any help?
I've searched and seems to be something to do with the Carbon Canister, My question is will this have any adverse affects on the motor?

Cheers!

faulty carbon canister valve as far as I can tell. It may mess around with the air/fuel ratio

could this be caused by unplugging then canister, then plugging it back in after starting? because this has been done recently when the Cambelt & water pump was done

I had an odd fault after plugging something back in with the battery already connected.  Perhaps try unplugging the battery and the canister unit, then leave it 5 mins plug the canister back in followed by the battery.  Give it a go  :undecided:
