Really annoyed with myself - clipped a low metal post while parking today and it's put a small dent in the plastic front panel, just below the nearside foglight.

Anyone know of a good repairer in the Norwich area who can sort this for me? I've read varying reports of firms like Chips Away, as the quality pf repairs pretty much depends on skills of the franchisee, so would rather go to someone who has a good reputation.

Want to get it sorted as soon as possible, as it's spoiling the look of my otherwise unblemished pride and joy!

After my mishap a couple of weeks ago, I found a local firm that specialises in repairing plastic bumper scuffs and dents, PDR, upholstery and interior trim repairs.

I got a quote from the local Chips Away guy, who said he could improve the appearance of the damaged area but it would still be visible. The cost? £150 including VAT.

The firm that did the repair charged me £90 including VAT and they did an excellent job - now that it's been repaired, you'd not know it had ever been damaged, so RESULT!  Unlike Chips Away, who would have done the repair outside, the guys that did the repair also have a fully equipped workshop and they charged me £60 less for a far superior job which was carried out in purpose built premises. I'm really chuffed and my car is looking good again.

They were surprised though when I asked them not to clean my car after they'd completed the repair; I didn't want to risk the paintwork being inflicted with swirls!

Glad to hear you got it sorted....don't think I would get chips away to touch my motor, I once asked them to look at a small stone chip on my last golf and the answer was we can't guarantee it will match..no good for me...

That's pretty much what they told me and i too wasn't prepared to accept a second rate repair.

I'd pretty much decided I wasn't going to use them before they came to look at my car, but thought it would be useful to get an estimate from them, so I'd got something to compare other estimates to.
