Would only think you can claim if the car is standard ie not lowered??
Actually I'm talking rubbish I don't know about insurance but if it was "not lowered" you could get the council to pay

Id be pushing for the garage who fitted the cambelt to stump up the cash. If they didnt replace the bolts then they are the ones at fault

Problem is, I got the cambelt/water pump done as part of the deal when I got the car and I didn't request the bolts to b dne cuz I didnt know they had too plus thats going to be hard to prove. As for claiming on insurence I dnt think I can because there wasn't an accident and I'd indefensible I'd have to pay an excess anyway. And I dnt think the council is at fault ether because it's not there speed bump that caused it as it was lets face it broken anyway if anything I need to thank the council for it happening the way it did. What if I was on the motorway or something?
