Trim does look a bit darker

Ah, thats good then! It's bad but i've never properly cleaned and dressed under the bonnet of any of my cars but really want to do this one, i think i'm going to get the black forge caps like yours as well.

What cleaner did you use? I think i'm going to order some megs apc as recommended by Butler2.8l cos it can be used everywhere.
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

Tbh it's never really got that dirty. I did however yout blast it off with a jet wash, whilst not getting too much water near the fuse panel etc. for the underside of the bonnet I just used a rapid detailer and a microfiber cloth. I've noticed that the engine dressing has quite specific instructions, I.e. engine must be cold and left in the shade to dry.
