vr air box to throttle body help
« on: 06 September 2012, 21:27 »
hi when i baught the vr it had a massive cone filter on far to loud for me so panal filter and cold air feed is the route i am going but aught the right pipe from maf to throttle body and pipe work does not match as the one that was on there was also wrong so needed replacing this is the new one
ok so the front pike that comes from the top or the back of the black casing next to the  rocker cover is sweet no problems there belive it to be a breather, but the back one ??? what is ment to be there or ware does it go cant find anything??
also  have a small pipe comes out of the inlet and has no home  hears a pic

little confused by it and want to put it in or mot soon so haft to get it sorted also belive you can buy a thing {cant remeber what there called} that plugs in to the wires that plug into the pipe work that confuses the ecu into thinking the car is getting cold air permently belive there was one on it when i got it but when i got it home it had gone guess it fell out but maybe getting one and going back to the old set up for mot could be a option any ideas would be awsome chears guys and gals

Is your vr obd1 or obd2? because if its obd2 then that intake pipe is not the correct one

The small pipe should be connected to an oil breather (I think) like a pancake...can't remember the proper name for it...
Looks like you are missing a bit...

Yup, and get that bit from a Ford dealer as its much cheaper than from Vw.

Crank case breather valve:-7364573 (ford part no).

Think it was the Ford Galaxy, the one that looks like a Vw Sharan.

Actually check Vw for the price of the Sharan equivalant-sharan equivalent - 7M0 128 101
