Hi folks
After mk7 release, I'm trying to get me head around things.
In Germany the MK7 can already be configured, so I assume it is in production already.
Now in other places, it will be a while until it is available. Does this mean you cannot order a golf until the Mk7 becomes available in your region?

Or do some VW factories still produce the mk6 for those orders? In which case, what is the point, why not just roll out the 7 in all factories?
Or do they keep a bunch of stock somewhere, in which you can't get a custom order, only those mk6s that exist.
Probably missing something, but would be useful to know and understand the process.

What tends to happen is they stop making the old car then ramp up for the new model as required.

Unless your renault or peugeot then you just keep right on churning out the old model and give it away on eezy finance.
