A bit random but are ask it anyway, will there still be a bottle opener with the 7?

Has anyone every used the one in the 6 for opening a bottle?

I could never understand why there is a bottle opener in a car?? I mean the only bottles that have caps on are classic Coke and beer bottles!

Nope. In fact I went fishing this year and was cursing myself as I had packed a few bottled beers and forgot about the bottle opener. My mate was able to open them with a knife no problem but it wasn't until a few weeks later I suddenly realised there was one with us all along!! Doh.

And that's exactly why I asked it, can't say I've ever used mine and I doubt I will....

I doubt it, why would they produce that and risk removing the GTi out of the market?

Maybe because the world has went eco mad and anything to save MPG?!

"Sources close to VW engineering chief Ulrich Hackenberg also say there are moves to introduce a new performance-orientated Golf R diesel. Nothing is official at this stage, but talk centres around a twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre engine producing up to 222bhp."

There is already a twin turbo 2.0 diesel in the Transporter and Amorak, so it would be doable.

Speaking of Amoraks my old man collected his yesterday. I'll get some pics in the dub rides section as soon as I can.
