old people v's "travellers"
« on: 04 September 2012, 12:37 »
just had a call from the wife's gran. group of travellers at the door , tile apparently off the roof, £10 to fix.

10 minutes later they are at the door demanding £300 and eventually went off after sghe emptied her purse and gave them £80

i am absolutely fuming. annoyed at her as she knows our town is overrun with pikeys and its not as if she is loosing her marbles.

i hate the fact that they get away with this sort of sh!t.

yes i get that it is a few spoiling it and giving all travellers a bad name but in my 10 plus years of having to share a town bordered with 3 traveller camps i can come to the conclusion that they are not to be trusted.

Get your gran to contact the police. They take crimes like that seriously. Pass my regards to your gran and I hope she is not too shaken by the whole ordeal!
They are all pure lowlife bottom feeders!

They're all f*cking scum.

Used to have to keep walking the dogs until they lost interest and then could go home. If they found where we lived they would have broken in and nicked them. (We have lurchers).

Used to get them insisting the dogs were theres and my old man even got battered round the head one day. When he went after the guy,  2 more came out of nowhere, so that was that.

Its ridiculous, they claim society treats them like sh1t and they think the world owes them something, and now the TV runs series's glorifying them?

Madness.

Bit harsh. But you've had a bad experience. There are a group of travellers round my way that are simple, honest, hardworking folk (despite their lack of tax contributions) and they will pretty much do any job for £9p/h and they're damn skilled folk. There's one chap who will sharpen anything, rapidly and brilliantly. Sounds weird but he sharpened a 5' chainsaw blade in less than half an hour and only charged £4!

@ The OP. I hope you gran doesn't feel too violated. The thingys who stitched her up, should be kept in a dark room for a week and played a constant high pitched sound till their ears bleed....thingys

I live litterally less than 200 metres as the crow flies from a traveller site. lukily they all seem to be the good type. i.e hard working guys. however. the otherside of town is full of nobs. One of my mates caught one trying to charge a old lady for "rebuilding" her chimney. all hed done was stick wall paper over it that looked like bricks... terrible
