What does your GTi redline at ?

This may seem a stupid thread so please bear with me.   

I thought that the redline for GTi's was around 6200 rpm.
I got my new GTi on Saturday and the redline is approx 6750 rpm.

Was I just mistaken or is mine different for some reason ?

So a redline of around 6750 rpm is normal for the GTi mk6 ?

Some of the earlier (09) GTi's def redline at around 6200 rpm, yet my new GTi is at 6750 rpm.

Why the difference ?

do you mean red line or rev limiter?

all the clocks ive seen are the same and redline at 6000rpm but ive not had mine on the limiter but had it to 6500rpm

I mean the actual redline on the rev counter.
Mine is 6750 rpm

Having just looked on Ebay at other 2012 Gti's, all seem to redline at 6000rpm.  Mine is def 6750/6800 rpm.
Also, both the speedo and the rev counter have a red ring around the outer dials ?  ( To look more sporty ? )

I am now getting concerned that everyone's GTi seem to redline at 6000 yet mine clearly doesn't.
Can anyone please comment on this

I seem to remember that was a revision change. What year is your car?
