split r fitting

Just purchased one off ebay but didnt realise they came in different inlet/outlet sizes. Tried to fit it snd its much too big. Seems to measure around 25mm inside diameter.
So what size are the standard bosch DV ??

Just had a reply off forge motorsport and all they said is the inlet/outlets are 25mm OD.
So how to ppl fit these to golfs?do u need to buy silicone reducers to down size to standard DV pipe diameter??

to fit forge splitR:

1. Take splitter valve in right hand.
2. Using left hand, open dustbin lid.
3. Using right hand, place SplitR valve inside open dustbin.
4. Replace dustbin lid, refitting is the reverse of removal.
5. Buy Forge 007/008 and be happy

Kinda serious man, I've heard nothing but bad news about these SplitR valves for years on end.

A mate of mine recently ditched his for a 008, and he's over the moon with how much better the car responds.

I'd try and make your money back on it and get a 007

sorry mate +1 on that,  the split r is jank, it will be a waste of time! been there done it, mine went straight on mate so cant help sorry.

I have had no issues with my split r and its annoying keep seeing people write throw it away save up for blah blah blah. It was made for people who want more of the noise and for it to recirc as it should so why can't people just accept that and help people who want to use a split r valve

Because, personally, I couldn't care less about helping people make their engine make 'cool noises'. I'm a fairly technical person, and I'm more than happy to help people solve running issues and the like.

If it's venting to atmosphere, at all,  it's NOT recirculating that proportion of vented air, which the MAF WILL have metered for, so as a result it'll overfuel accordingly.

If you want noise, fit a cone filter and a 007P, and it'll be VERY loud when you back off, and it won't hurt performance.

My friend also insisted for over a year that his SpitR was brilliant and caused no issues.

Then he fitted a proper recirc, and suddenly, the car is loads better, even though it was 'fine' before. Right?

Seriously some people get way to arsey. I have had a forge 007p and yeah It was slightly better but with a cone it was sh!t. So yeah I have a split r  and it runs fine so there aint an issue. What gets me is when people ask for help others who don't like it just sit there and slate it off so badly and it is pathetic. I am farily technical myself but I'm happy how my engine is running I have tried cones and personally they make things worse. And I know that your gonna say this that and moan and whine so do what ya want. Also if your so technical them help with problem mr brainiac see strange clicking thread have a read and give your amazing opinion
