Is it a panel filter or cone? Cones are very loud. I had a piperX sponge filter on my ABF and it was loud. It will be more so with a K03s the other side of the TIP

its a panel filter, havent done anything else to the engine apart from the usual, did find a couple of cracked pipes that are gonna be changed by wednesday, maybe this will sort out some of the sound issues too then

Sounds like the SAI pipe to me, when you replaced the filter, did you re add the SAI pipe to the bottom half of the box?
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

i undid the top 2 screws closest to the passenger side plus the 2 screws holding the box to the TIP, slotted in the filter after romoving the massive one VW put in and screwed everything back  :undecided:

it does run a bit smoother and theres alot more acceleration its just the  noise, and theres a bit of a vibration but this could be down to me split hoses on start up flapping about  :lipsrsealed:
