back in a golf again well almost
« on: 01 September 2012, 20:00 »
Last time i frequented this site i had a mk2 but sadly circumstances prevented me from keeping it running and i had to say good bye to it . Anyway after a series of bad car choices and after driving a nissan !!!  a mate at work told me i could have his mk4 1.8 20v gti as he wanted to see it back on the road but didnt want to do it himself so i aquired it from him. as you can see its not been on the road for some time(2 years) so i knew its gonna need some work. the rear arche has been hit the rads popped and it generally need a good clean tax and mot. so lets see what happens cheers for looking.

Yep changed oil for some other stuff ( not expensive) and will use that as a flush when I give it a full service at the end of this month. Trouble is I know this is honna get expensive and addictive.

What engine code is that, can't say I've seen that block before, as for expensive I feel you mate since owning mine (from April) I have spent just shy if £2500 in repairs and replacing bits that needed replacing.
