insurance doesnt  bother me its there if you need it.
its the excess that pisses me off the most. you pay out of the ear sometimes for a nice car and then they demand you pay an amount of money, a large sum if your under 25 of about 250 normally as voluntary, if you have an accident... whats the point in that?

but on an odd note i'm the same.
for my 1.8 golf 600 a year.
A mondeo ST220... 650...

Thought mine would come down when I sold my 04 plate Audi A4 2.0L petrol sport and got my 04 plate ford fiesta 1.4 diesel. It came down by a total of.... £10..
Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

i was lookin putting stuff in comparison sites and all newer cars i.e 4-6k are like a third less than car worth 500 or so. Got quote a bmw 320d cab 2006 it 10 less than a old 1.8 vectra or something a 120d was 18 less ha a month a third less, was same on a lot cars, guess old cars more likely cause accidents in some people as they dont give a f**k where as people with 6k car will, who knows.

Insurance companies should be forced to explain their costs as it appears most of them are making up the numbers these days. I recently swapped my insurance form my Leon Cupra (180bhp) to my Mk3 Gti 8v and my policy came down by a fiver....for the year that is. They ( Admiral ) also said to me a car kept in a locked garage at night merits a higher premium as oppose to one thats parked up on the street at night.

I think they have a tank full of manatee's which randomly nuzzle floating balls with numbers on, they then stick a 0 on the end and apply it as a cost...
