Looks really good, i like the ride height to. Is it VWR springs? How does it drive on the roads around here, not to bouncy?

Gary.

Yeah, VWR springs and ACC dampers.
From memory, it rides better than a standard GTI on passive dampers, but with the option to put it into 'Comfort' for Aberdeen's crappiest roads.

There is no bounce at all on 'Standard' or 'Dynamic'.
I find 'Sport' too stiff for most roads, although that's more the damping than the springs.
'Comfort' is great for potholed city streets or smooth motorways, but on the backroads round here, you get a bit of float once above 60MPH, so it's better back in 'Standard'.

How long left Ess?

11 days!  (plus the time it takes me to re-pass my Test  )

I had the Mk6 out for a shakedown run a few days ago (not piloted by me, obviously) to ensure the Milltek and carbon airbox were all working with no problems...which they are

Ended up with Fiat '653 - Grigio Carbon' paint.

Looking good!!

Is that colour of paint the one that matches the PPS Anthracite powdercoat with the sparkles in it?
The guy that took off my winter wheels managed to drop one against the caliper - so it has a little chip the size of a penny inside the wheel.  I'll need to get some of that to do a touch up.  It doesn't seem worth getting the wheel re-done since it's inside and won't be seen.

Pete, it's actually a bit lighter...more the colour of the PPS coating on bright sunlight.
I was trying to match it to the front bumper infill piece too.
The powdercoat has more flake in it, and a hint of red.

If it's a powdercoat touch up you want and it's not in a really obvious place...Hammerite black is as close as you'll get
I have plenty if you want to pop out and I'll touch it in for you?

Hammerite BLACK?!?!

I'm just away to move house in the next couple of weeks - so my wheels are currently at work hidden in storage bags!  I was going to wait until I moved before getting them touched up as I'll have to remove them from work then.  There are a couple of small marks... but the face of the wheel is immaculate.

Seems only yesterday you were laughing at my comment about it only being one day with out driving my car lol...it does seem to have flown by but that's from an outsiders prospective...I'm sure for you the days have been long..

Care to share what sort of insurance quotes your getting?

Not from where I've been sitting it hasn't!

I sure am itching to get back behind the wheel..then I have to decide whether I can trust myself in a GTI or whether it has to go in order to keep hold of my ability to drive.
Time will tell.
