Yup, a smooth finish....apart from right in some of the edges where there is a lip, and you can't really get it with the primer/paint - but these areas are hidden when installed.

I bought all new plastics to remove the change of and silicone based dressings contaminating the paint, then plastic primed, 5 x coats of high build primer (rubbed down between), basecoat, then 2 x coats of lacquer.

It was the local standard bodyshop.

He charged me £300 for 2 x sill trims, rear diffuser, 2 x mirror backs, 2 x front lips (he repaired the original red lip and painted that too, as a spare).
