Told the guy not to rush as I have 2 other cars but he took this to the extreme, dropped off for the service, gearbox oil and possible selector replacement if the gearbox oil doesn't help the gear change, anyway cannot wait to pick her up and drive her now the summers arrived

The summer (if you can call it that) has been so sh1t that I've not had my Mk2 out. I sometimes forget that I even have it.

Gutted just been to see if the car is ready and some tw@t has screwdrivered the drivers door lock and also tried to get in behind the steel security shields around the handle, really really peeeeed off now 
Luckily the car is still here and not burnt out  , it will repair easily enough,  time for a new upto date alarm/immobiliser if this is the future, thought people had stopped stealing these years ago?

Sounds like kids looking for a joy ride, if you can't open a mk2 you're not much of a thief tbh,
