Do you need a heat gun for vinyl?

When I did mine (since changed it) I used a hair dryer as you don't need it super hot, just enough to make it pliable.  As said, de-grease the trim first, I just sanded mine down as the wood trim will NEVER be on show again.   Tip is not to heat it too much as the vinyl will bubble with the heat.  Take your time and you'll do a good job, just make sure you have enough for each item and do a little bit more as you can always trim it back, and looks pants if you start adding patches to it.  Hope this helps, and good luck!
