Have you had it hooked up to Vag Com ??  is so what is it saying ?

if it was a immobiliser issue, the car would run for 1 second then shut down so its not that

have you tried to align the TB via Vag com ? 

mine does this automatic once if the battery has been disconected but im not sure on the non S3 engines.. their is a function on vag com to do it

My AGU does it automaticly also.

if you dont do it on vagcom they all do over time apparently, the ecu kinda adjusts itself so the more you drive it the better it gets till its running properly

thats what I read anyway it may well be a load of bollocks  :laugh:

I thought the throttle body had to be calibrated on all 1.8T engines if replaced?

how can the throttle body be calibrated if its wired?  still no luck my mate thinks iv got a bad chip, but spoke to the company that sent the ecu and they said it was tested fine before being sent out

just need aligning mate.. vag com or automatically does it via the ECU
