Only ever really dipped in and out of this forum, but been offline for ages and now I'm back with a vengeance! Just wanted to say hi and let everyone know how my Mk1 is going.
After over 3 months sitting in a bodyshop gathering dust, they have finally started prepping the car
Still haven't got a clue what colour it's going to be but I'm sure I'll decide soon (hope so)!
When i took the car it was almost totally stripped so hopefully it wont take them to long. I'm debating wether or not to flush the door handles. Got all the kit to do it all but not really sure. I'm gonna relocate the battery to the boot to help tidy up the engine bay. I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine, the head has all been done, its been bored to 1.9L and I'm hoping to fit a 2.0L crank then lighten and balance the whole lot. I know this ain't the easiest option but its the way i wanna go. I have sourced a full set of jeney throttle bodies with an omex ecu. I also managed to get a really good deal on a full set of FK fully adjustable coilovers. Thinking of either revolution 5 spokes or BBS splitties!
There is a whole host of other stuff but i don't wanna bore u all! Thanks to everyone for all the help and does anyone know if an Audi 100 2.0L crank will fit a MK1 Gti 8v bottom end??
