312mm brakes
« on: 29 August 2012, 09:56 »
I have Been away for a bit, (due to sss 'sea, sand and sex' LOL)  but back now  I just want to clarify before I go ahead and order, am I right in thinking I can buy Audi tt or S3 312mm, mk4 v5 (170bhp), mk4 v6 312mm discs, just so long as I have the 312mm carriers. As there seems to be plenty of Audi 312mm discs on ebay compared to 312mm golf ones.

Also, I have been looking at some of the packages on ebay of discs and pads. For example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270960449979?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

and: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160744692957?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200481523421?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400304429012?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

last one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160508563867?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

What would you recommend out of the above?

The carriers are the same ( i have some for sale in the classifieds, with calipers and good pads  )

And then I would just get some pagid discs from Euro car parts.

The calipers are the same, the carriers are different.

You need 312mm Disks and carriers, i'd put a new set of pads in for good measure too.

Another option is to look for an Octavia vRS being broken, they had the 312mm set up as standard
