catch can not catching?
« on: 28 August 2012, 13:06 »
after a few months of driving (i do a couple hundred miles a week).

my catch can has only caught a few drops. why is this? i'm sure it's all fitted correctly. it is a cheap ebay one though :lipsrsealed:

would the height of where the catch can is attached to affect this?

to the left of the battery, behind the headlamp. it's quite high up though as it pretty much sits on top of one of the radiator hoses

Don't a fist full of wire wool in there slow down the air flow and catch the vapours better?

Im always worried about putting wire wool in mine to be honest as I wouldnt want it being picked up through my turbo.

Someone suggested a while ago, fitting part of a cheese grater in the to slow down the movement but have no possibility of being sucked up, possibly Topher. Genius.
