Will VW ever bring back the Corrado?
« on: 28 August 2012, 09:54 »
I was driving behind a Corrado this morning (quite a nice one actually) and was wondering if VW have any plans to release a newer version, just as they have with re-inventing the scirroco?

the corrado is a scirrocco though isnt it?! (molre or less!)
the scirrocco was the golf sports coupe of the mk1/2 golf, then the corrado came along and was the golf sports coupe for the mk2/3. obviously this wasnt official but this is always the way i thought of them.
with the scirrocco back on the scene i doubt they will bring back the corrado

In my mind the current Scirocco is more like the Corrado's replacement due to it's shape and size.  I think they should have called it a Corrado.

You never know, one day they may make a longer wheelbase coupe and call that a Corrado.

Haha, probably true.

I guess its just like fashion really.  They'll no doubt bring it back around when they feel like shaking up the market again.
