I'm also interested in doing the Bi-Xenon retrofit but as mines a March 12 wud I still need the BCM upgrade(I'm guessing I still wud)...I'm looking at this one it's says that the AFS control modules are included(am i reading this right?) as they are normally a expensive option...and if I am, by my understanding this will enable the auto levelling...Correct?

But what about the washers? Do they need to be fitted into the bumper ect as mine didn't come with Xenons so wudnt have the washers in the bumper...?? Or are they in the bumper so just need to be coded via VCDS?

With regards to the BCM module - I don't have VCDS(unless I ask Scott again) so is there another way of finding out if I need the upgraded module?
I'm looking at the same module as the OP...

And lastly, is there anything else I need to purchase to do this retrofit? I know there are loads of threads out there regarding the retrofit but all they seem to do is frazzle my brain as different threads say different things lol...

Thanks in advance!!

I put a full list of part numbers HERE

These are the parts I used to go from a halogen setup to a full Xenon setup with AFS, I already had the washers as part of the winter pack.

If your car came with halogens then you will need the new BCM to get the high beam shutters to work.

The one that Ozram has listed looks like the right one for both of you.

Those are LHD units, you would need THESE ones.

The AFS power modules are included but you would also need the AFS controller HERE and the looms and autoleveler for the rear unless you have ACC

Thanks for that Mike. Just wasn't sure about 1K0 versus 5K0 part numbers and also the software version.

I have a spare AFS controller if anybody wants one

AND I can make the shutters work in the headlamp without changing the CECM unit although it does require very basic re-wiring inside the headlamp
