golf gti 2.08v to 1.8 20vt conversion help please

hi all new to the forum so forgive me if i posted in the wrong place,
i have a mk4 2000 reg gti 2.0 8v and want to convert it to the 1.8 20vt, i am a mechanik so can do all the work myself, just looking on help and advie on which engine code to go for and what problems i might have, all help is realy appreaceated, also have vcds light (regestered version) alltho dont know how to use all the functions on it yet, i have the chance of a aum engine ecu and everything from an audi a3 for 300 quid, is this a good tuneable engine to work with?

Sounds like you've got a busy time ahead of you, may I recommend you posting any questions regarding the build of your MK4 either in the garage or the MK4 section...you will find more help in these sections as there viewed more regularly...

Post pics up of your ride... this will help you if need help posting pics...

No worries...

Click on Home at the top of the page, and then scroll down and the Garage Section is the eleventh one down...and your find the MK4 section a bit further down In the Model Specific part of the home page...hope this helps
