newbie here ''hi''
« on: 26 August 2012, 21:18 »
hi

looking forward to making my self at my new home of the golf club. im in process of getting a mk4 golf gti turbo hoping to find the anniversary version to have some more poke. got alot of plans for it. tidy decent mods etc. all ready found loads of good info on here thank you. my dad is tech guy at VW for years and owns a mk 4 golf gt tdi with 160k on it and is like new all round. the previous owner replaced EVERY thing with gen VW parts. ive driven it a few times now and love it. so well equipped and great to drive. im selling up my current car which i will miss alot. im sure you will laugh but was a very heavily modified nissan primera p11. spent over 3k on it and is abit of a monster. but im wanting a newer boosted smaller car now. im sure the golf is a different league but the reliability and power band of the primera will take some beating

mods straight away for the golf will be

forge 007p valve
fmic
some form of air box mod/open filter
decat
custom cat back
window tints
some body styling
alloys
suspension
and 100% remap

ive owned a audi a4 AEB 1.8turbo sport before so been here before with the 1.8 engine (sort of)

hi again. some questions re exhausts i may post up. but ill start by keep logging in and seeing whats what

Cheers guys. Ive looked on here but cant seem to get a 100% answer. Is the only difference between a mk4 1.8t and 1.8t aniversary edition is the turbo is a k04? If that case if i find a better standard one i could just swap turbo to the k04 yes?
