Battery Leads - help

Hi, from the MK2 section, first time in here!

Just wondered if anyone here could do me a favour I'm looking for new battery leads, and have heard that both Passat and MK3 golf cables fit! There doesnt seem to be a definitive answer anywhere though, annoyingly! I have been to the scrapyard, but they were closing so i didnt have time to get anything The favour is could someone:
a) Confirm that all MK3 leads (both + & -) are the same on all models and years
b) Measure the length from battery to the end of the cable (both + & -).

The MK2 i saw in the scrapyard had different leads to mine, which is where the confusion comes from i guess, but the MK3 i saw there looked like it had pretty long cables that should fit MY golf, even if not other MK2 golfs, but i was hoping someone on here would measure, before i go and get them and find they dont fit, (scrapyard is 40miles away so dont fancy 80 miles to go and measre)

Possitive is a really long one, goes all along bulkhead and to fusebox and abs possitive iirc. Have to take servo out to get loom past.

Neg is a wee one that earths on starter and beneath battery tray

Thats on a GTI, assume non ABS are slightly differant
