TDI Auto Pd auto loss of power
« on: 24 August 2012, 22:43 »
Hi Guys I bought an 02 plate tdi auto steptronic (ATD CODE) knowing the vnt's were seized, so I bought the innotec turbo clean kit but I removed the turbo stripped it, cleaned it thoroughly fitted new inlet and exhaust gaskets, deep cleaned the inlet manifold and egr valve, then I replaced all the vacuum pipes with silicon jobbies, started it up and it flew  couldnt believe the difference it made, then I left it parked up a few days while i got on with other work.

Now it has lost power like I have no turbo , I plugged my snap-on ethos in and had no fault codes and no light on dash!, I do have my other tdi auto which is fine and has new sensors, maf etc so i been swapping everything and no difference

I checked boost pipes and fitted a new sensor in the intercooler, please help me out guys :)

Hmmm, very strange. No boost at all? Boost leak? Checked all of the IC pipework?  :undecided:

I had the inner arch liner out and checked that side, and all is ok, I need to check the sensor in the top of the IC apparently these can play up, I hope I sort it soon, I'm adamant it's not the turbo.

Anyone else had this problem?
