Hey guys

As some of you may know, I've been the see the old mustang near me i believe to be abandoned, and so when i set off on my adventure i was surprised at the condition it was in, considering its been out in the rain.... I knocked on the houses it was near, one man told me the car has been there since he moved into his house (its been there at least 6 years then...) and in the 6 years its moved ONCE 4 years ago... They said in the 6 years they've seen the owner only a few times... and that he's usually away from home and rarely pops back, when he does doesn't stay for long either...
Okay suppose for me that was fairly good news....
Asked an old lady next, pointed to the house just next door to her....... Dirty windows, cracked window at the top/bedroom curtains all drawn and absolutely filthy.... Knocked 5 times to no answer, okay.... even better news for me i suppose?
Letter box open, peak threw to a stack of un-opened letters filling up the porch bit.
Checked the car, Nice condition, no rear window, rear interior gone, leather front chairs had transparent plastic portectors over them (not so good news for me...)
Other than that, grass growing well upto the boo of the car all around it but still seemed fairly rust free...
Tax disc, expired 03/2012... okay it seems to be going quite well, as the thing hasnt been renewed, maybe the owner gave up hope in getting it daily drivable? quick tax check showed:

That scared me a bit i suppose, been renewed but no new tax disc in window (maybe the owners been away that long....?
Called the DVLA, wouldn't disclose information to contact him.
Called Police, wouldn't disclose information to contact him.
Called council, They think its on council land and want to tow it... Inspectors due to call soon... (They will then get in touch with owner)
In all, im going to try my best to get in touch with the owner, will leave a note on door/in letterbox and on the car... Will continue to speak to the council and ask them to contact him for me maybe...
The conclusion: Car left, no chance of being restored, open to the weather by an owner too busy to find the time to even give it propper storage + me upset = Not giving up until i speak to him.

Cheers all!
