vr6 super charge or not??????

ok so i have driven a mates vr with a turbo and was awsome but not very driver freindly for cornish roads and am considering the charger route, for better power delivery stuff like that.

am wondering how much work other than the charger i would need to consider, as am giving her a bit of a make over at the min so if i go though with it now would be a good time to start
have been offered a charger but it has a 500 quid price tag might be able to drop it to 400 will be trying my best to get it for 400.

so yeah anyone got thoughts or experences with these??
also what sorta bhp and stuff i can expect ??

i imagine for power gains you'll see about 220bhpish depending on the map.

i've seen it done a few times but never known the cost of the build. bloke i seen who had a charger put on his VR6 said he had it done through a company and cost him nearly 2k.

Those centrifugal chargers don't add much low end grunt on a vr. They add power up the top end only. They have to spin up alot to build boost as they at more like a geared turbo. Not like an eaton where the pump air at lower speeds.

Ok been on the phone been offered a g60 charger for 450 quid peoples thoughts on this option and bhp results??  Am thinking little bit cheaper and less work ??

It's a sh!te unreliable charger that is to small.

That was designed for a 1.8 and cant see it making no more than 220bhp. not a 2.8 v6 lol forget that charger mate.
