I know, its gonna be one of those jobs where there will be loads of swearing and head scratching but the sound and end result will hopefully be worth it.

good look with the notching, a lot of work to get it to a point of not being useable on british roads

come MOT time  and despite what people say about " its ok I know a tester " the rules could be viewed in many different ways.

and even a speicilased insurer will have fun with the " any modifcations " part of this.

but the work on the VR6 looks good, if you smash the gearbox on this and scrap the car let me know :afro:

Thanks chuff, I'm sure its gonna be a while before the cars on the road let alone smashing gearboxes and stripping it but will keep you in mind.
My Mot tester is my mums fella, he certainly doesn't let me off on anything, I could take it to a number of garages round my way if I wanted a instant pass but ill see what he has to say when the time comes round.

Been slowly plodding along with this as and when I get spare time, mostly been in the bay getting everything smooth the paints turned up so as soon as its ready I can get on painting it.
Also had new balljoints, track rod ends and rear beam bushes turn up the other day, just waiting on a new lh a-arm and rear discs then I should have everything ready to get it back sat on its wheels.

Rear discs and a-arm turned up, got the new rear bearings pressed in and built up on the stub axles, just need to order new high tensile bolts and can get the rear beam all put back together and on the car.

Subframe is all built up, waiting on the lh ball joint as they have me 2 rh, only noticed when I came to fit them.

Notch is also finished, just need to give the arches a good coat in underseal.

Cheers, certainly looks a lot better than the rust covered bunch of parts that came off.

Been plodding away the last few weeks, engine bay is nearing completion, keep finding small areas that I'm not happy with and have to go over again. Will get there in the end.

Should be on its wheels soon, front wheel bearings turned up so got them pressed into the hubs, got the rear axle all built up with a bit of camber, new bearings discs etc, just need to make up the brake lines now I have my braided hoses.
