Names for our new baby girl....
« on: 21 August 2012, 23:05 »
Me and the Mrs are expecting our third child, a girl. She is due on Christmas eve. Any ideas on names would be welcomed with open arms, including stupid and callous suggestions. My own mum's suggestion was in fact, wait for it.....Cunnilingus! What a gem my mother is

Names of a male derivative will not be considered. For example, Frankie, Barryetta, Stevie, Daveweena....they would all be very unacceptable.

FFS, just because Keith Allen can't spell Lilly now there's going to be a generation of kids saddled with an incorrectly spelled derivation of a traditional name.

With one L in the middle it should be pronounced Lie lee, not L-ill-ee.

Spell it right, unless you think Kylie/Kylee is a nice name for a girl, in which case you're doomed anyway.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

You can pronounce how you like Diamonte, it doesn't bother me. I prefer the spelling Lily not Lilly. It gives a uniqueness to the name and somehow it seems less old fashioned.

You seem to have a lot of pent up aggression towards what is essentially a 'bit of fun' thread. I suggest you worry about something worthwhile. I suppose your motto of 'opinions r us' sums you up nicely.
