HMRC & P800
« on: 20 August 2012, 18:28 »
Right, basically P60 came through and shortly after I got a cheque from HMRC of a rebate of £114.xx. Now several months have passed and I get a p800 saying I owe them £115.xx. From my understanding I can appeal as in my eye's its their fook up. As they gave me 114 now want 115 back and had more than enough time to realize the big oops, I believe this has happened to the majority of the employees in the company as we all got the same rebate.

Anyone gone about it with any success? There website is as clear as tia's loft, but if its a waste of time then I won't bother:

Ummmmm... that's a good question if you can get through to the payroll and admin department. My brother left a while back to move to the sister company and he is still having problems getting hold of his p45 and put it this way they still call him in for work even though he left over 3-months ago.

I'm thinking it's possibly the employers fault, so surely they should be molested, but the problem is proving it I suppose?
