if you look at my recent post "out with old and in with the new" i've wrapped my dash bits, fairly straight forward, i had my bits n bobs out of the cage as it was eaier but an absolute nightmare to take out, remember if you have the oak or wood effect trim you'll need to PUSH DOWN to release them DO NOT PULL as the little crappy clips with snap and VW charged me 60 for cage and 80 to fit  i was a nuub then but i can get the cage out myself now with a bit of exploratory investigation and different forum write ups.

i stuck mine to the trim bits, got a VERY sharp stanley knife, cut down along the lines of the trim but straight on, NOT at an angle, once your happy with it take your heat gone or your GF favourite hairdryer  :lipsrsealed: and then just keep at it over and over again, reason for doing this afterwards is because any trapped air will try to rise so you'll be able to see where the air bubbles are and rub them out, i bought vent carbon wrap and it worked a treat, like i say have a look at my other recent topic

its simple enough, layer a piece of wrap over it, sort the corners and edges out, dont fold over the edges as it will strip or crinkle when you add or remove things and then with the big holes i cut a cross to the edges and then following the line of the hole just run a blade and cut out the little triangles, the button bit under the 3 dial holes is the same technique, slice through the middel, then to a corner and then just cut until your happy with yourself, did this on my mates golf, its not 100% due to you not being able to remove the side bits as they are part of the frame but its a doodle, i suggest wrapping something insignificant if you can, just to get a feel then tackle the car

Up and Down and side to side on drinks holder but if it's wrap then keep it all one way. Up not down IMO
