just a quick question! related to suspension!

ok some guy needs a set of  polo 6n Shocks any idea if my golf mk3 ones will fit? he just needed the shocks not the springs! i have googled but don't seem to be much out there! Thanks guys

I've asked a similar question and been told that the spring rates would be different because the polo is a lighter car.
