Well, today was d-day. The day that I found out if the pretty MK3 I bought for my missus 3 months ago is as good as I thought/hoped it would be. Pleased to say it is! Straight through the mot, I was allowed under the ramp - not a spec of rot anywhere and all as it should be. Need a new tyre soon and a service but well pleased with it. The fun can start now.
