wanting to spray wing mirrors
« on: 17 August 2012, 10:07 »
looking at colour coding my mirrors black to match my grill, I know how to take the complete mirror off (doorcard off etc.) but surely there is an easier way to paint without having to completely remove and mask up the mirror etc.
does ALL of the plastic surroundings of the mirror come off so I can spray them up?

Thanks in advance

I have the paint ready to spray, don't want to spend on new mirrors when I already have some

If I knew how to unclip them I could surely just take them off and spray them?

yes you can unclip, however i cant remember how with out looking at the mirror to remind my self. sure theres a hole in the bottom you put a screw driver in to undo a clip or something.

sure someone with a definate answer will be along soon though, could always take the mirror out and see if you can see how it unclips?

You need to remove the glass then the cover is held on with 1 or 2 screws.
