Random Power Loss?
« on: 16 August 2012, 23:23 »
This is doing my head in!!!
I can be in full flight on the motorway...or just tootliing along in slow traffic..rev counter hits zero and oil light comes on as if it wants to stall. Sometimes a bit of pedal pulls it back but in slow traffic i usually have to re-start it (which it does every time)
Sometimes it goes for days without misbehaving then others it's a right b!tch...can happen at any speed in any gear.
I'm pretty crap at analysis but will have a go at anything if pointed in the right direction...it's an 8v colour concept by the way...
Any help would be appreciated even if it's a suggestion of a big hammer!

My money is on either the coil pack, crank speed sensor or fuel pump relay
