Which ever you go for, take the HIDs out either of them!

I like the black 16v

yeah HIDs will be removed
im actually thinking the 16v aswell. mainly due the it having a full MOT and tax.
also would be good to try out the 16v i spose.
is there a big diferance in insurance between the 8v and the 16v? also is there a noticable diferance in fuel?

That's nuts. I just rang the insurance to find out the costs of each one and the 16v is cheaper than the 8v

16v does look the better car IMO. Sounds crazy but just like its had more time and effort than the Colour Concept. 16v looms like its had a proud owner if you know what I mean but also needs to keep the Audi rims to keep it looking that good  But cash in the hand is a very persuasive tool

You'll love it, you'll even wonder why you ever thought the 8v was fast enough!!!

i asked the bloke with the black 16v to email me pics of the small 50p size bit of rust he told me about.
this is what he emailed.

thoughts on this please.
have a feeling it may be worse under the trim and dont really want to wast my time driving all the way down there is it is.  :undecided:
also them plastics dont look all that well looked after

I think it's a bit suspect, if it's started rusting that close to the trim you just dont know if the trim is hiding more. And with the track record mk3 golfs have you can bet there's going to be more.
