Hi everyone,

I'm new to forum and thought I'd say hello.

I recently took delivery of my mark 6 GTI (standard GTI - not Edition 35) - it's deep black, DSG with Monza Shadows.

I've had it for about two weeks now and have covered about 400 miles - and I absolutely love it. The look of the car, the sound of the exhaust note, the acceleration, the steering....I don't need to tell you guys, but everything is so right about the car!

I've been a long-time admirer of Golf GTIs but this has been my first chance to actually buy one and I've certainly not been disappointed. Even the wife - who was slightly sceptical about the car - was won over the first time she planted the throttle!

It's just seems like every car you could need - it's great fun on twisty B-roads but a comfortable long-distance cruiser on the motorway too. You also feel like you're driving a bit of an icon - the latest in a long line of classic cars that every car enthusiast can appreciate.

I'll post some pictures up once I've had a chance to clean it and take some better ones than I've managed to date (just on my phone).

Cheers,

Ben
