that is very correct, having worked for the Police they absolutely will not tolerate the ignorance plea either. You will own the car as it has been collected by you and therefore you must have the car insured in your name. The old owners policy will be invalid as he no longer has an insurable interest in the car and it cant be driven 3rd party on another policy as the car has to have its own insurance in place first.
Best bet is to either change your insurance over or take out a days policy online.

Touch wood, the crisis has been averted!

The guy who was supposed to buy the old car this weekend, has only just told us he's in devon... Handy.
So we got left high & dry on that one, so I've had to call in a few favours and borrow some money for the insurance etc.

It's getting done on the day, and hopefully, everything is going to go to plan! We need this bloody car.

What else could possibly go wrong!?

Thanks guys ~

But the car will still be insured by the owner....... previous owner............. the guy you just bought it off

And you and little Brad wonder why I ask questions of whether what you do is insured for public liability.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Yes, I did write w@nk in the dirt, and that is Pacman.

And that is a wire coat hanger in the shape of a heart.

And it looks ever so pretty, runs a lot better than the MK3 golf that's recently been dubbed tw@t bag.

Both the 'baby's' together.

Kempie's in the process of swapping all his lights & that over. Runs like a dream! Just need to remove the mudflaps from the front & possibly the back, struggled getting over the speed bumps with them on, so a full days work is in order tomorrow! Now all I need to do is learn to drive & get myself a car, being convinced to get a golf  Can't imagine why! Coming down the country roads in it & you got hit with the smell of chip fat. Running 50-50.

But in all seriousness, it's gonna be a hell of a lot better for putting all the baby stuff in the back of it.

Also, I've just been told I've put this in the entirely wrong place, but to be fair, it took me an hour to work out how to post a new thread in here, so I'm allowed a break xD
